My First Blog Video

... how Makenzie spends all of her free time!

*edited to add per Makenzie* "This is a horrible 'full'. It looks terrible!" insert huff and eye rolling  When will they learn this is about me, not them! I am not taking down my first video!

I will never ...

Is it just me or does it seem odd that the girl who despises scrapbooking (it makes her anxious and gives her a headache!) applied and was one of 20 students accepted to the 2009-2010 yearbook staff? I am SO excited! Maybe, we shouldn't tell her that the yearbook is a big scrapbook for the entire school! And, we definitely shouldn't tell her she might be turning into her mother! :o) I will just tell her, "Congratulations. I am so proud and excited for you, Makenzie!"

A Much Needed Break

Spring Intercession begins today, yea! I am so ready, too. I plan to sleep in some and work on little Clay's nursery. Troy has a short two day hike planned with a friend. Marshall and Mitchell are going to stay up late, sleep in, eat and play games, not necessarily in that order. Makenzie is going on a Disney cruise with her friend, Amy. As different as our plans are, I am sure everyone will have a great week ... doing exactly what they love!

BUNCO!

Tonight was our neighborhood Bunco. I "heart" Bunco. I play with the neighborhood ladies and, also, with a group of ladies from Troy's school. Troy loves to say that I play in two "leagues"! Both groups of ladies are a hoot to be around! My great friend, Lisa, was the hostess tonight which was great. She is an awesome hostess, designer and friend!

I was the biggest loser tonight!
I won this sign which I absolutely love.
Thanks, Lisa!

So, true ...

A Night Out

Troy and I went to his school's holiday party tonight. The food was delicious and it was nice to be out alone. (Well, with the entire faculty and staff of LES, but alone in the sense that there were no children there!) Makenzie stayed home and babysat Mitchell and this little cutie pie.

New Year Organizing Gone Wild!

Ya think this is over the top? It is honestly just an attempt to keep my wash clothes in MY bathroom and the kid's wash clothes in THEIR bathroom.

Just thinking ...

Proverbs 21:9 - Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.

Proverbs 21:19 - Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and ill-tempered wife.

Proverbs 27:15 - A quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping on a rainy day.

17 down... 6 to go!

Happy New Year and 1 day!
I was super busy yesterday taking down my Christmas trees. Isn't it amazing how fast they come down, if only I could put up 17 in one day! I plan to take down the outside wreaths today, and tidy up a little. I am going to leave the dining room tree up a little longer. It is a "new" tree this year and I want to look at it a little longer! I am sad that the break is coming to an end, but so thankful for the time to rest and enjoy my family.

Good- bye office tree ....

So long living room tree ...

Farewell kitchen tree ...

both of you ...

See ya real soon, Marshall's tree ...

I won't forget you Mitchell's tree ...

I'll think of you often ...

Be safe, our bedroom tree ...

Until we meet again, entry tree!
